School Admissions
Admissions to our school are governed by the Local Authority’s Admissions Policy. Pupils attending Great Moor Infant School at the end of Year Two are all eligible for a place. Other pupils may be offered a place if we have any spare places. Parents of pupils currently at other schools, considering sending their child to our school, are welcome to telephone to make arrangements for a visit.
The vast majority of our pupils transfer to us from Great Moor Infant School. We work closely together to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible and we have a number of activities such as class visits and opportunities for the children to look around the school.
Everyone is invited to look around the school on our Open Evening each July and there are information sessions for parents before their children join us. Information is sent out via Great Moor Infant School.
Most of our pupils move on to Stockport School for their secondary education and we work closely with Stockport School to ensure that transition is also as smooth as possible. Admission to Secondary school is dependent on where pupils live, not which primary or junior school they attend.
Our published admission number is 78 per year group.
